Daily Routine
Part 1
1. What is your typical morning routine?
I like to start my day with meaningful work. Also, I have learned that if the focus is good in the morning, the next time of the day is also good; I want to make good use of that time. I Wake up at 06:00 in the morning, an hour or two later, I have breakfast, drink a cup of coffee, then take a bath, and get dressed- I go to my office.
2. What would you like to change about it?
I would like to wake up early in the morning each day. I usually wake up at around 9.00 am and that’s mainly because I am late to go to bed each night. So I want to sleep before 11.30 at night and wake up before 6.30 in the morning. And I would like this one aspect to be changed from my current daily routine.
3. Do you think breakfast is important?
Eating breakfast makes you feel better and when you don't eat it, you feel tired and grumpy. Studies show people who eat breakfast are more focused and can concentrate longer during the day. Breakfast will put you in a better mood and you will feel better because your body is receiving nutrition
4. What is the best thing about your morning routine at the weekends?
I love to sleep in on the weekends! My favourite thing is to avoid the alarm, wake up very leisurely, listening music in the afternoon. Weekends are the only time I can shut down and try to get some relaxation in. When needed, I put a few hours of work in, but I try to avoid that when possible.
Part 2
Describe a typical day at work/college/university. You should say:
1. what do you do?
This is an interesting topic and I thank you for letting me talk about my favourite part of the day. Well, I am an early riser and the early morning is my favourite time of the day.
I usually wake up at 5:30 am and start the day with a cup of tea. I brush my teeth and change my dress. Then I go to the gym and exercise for about 40-45 minutes. After that, I take a hot shower. I then water the plants I have in my verandah and at around 7:00 am I read the daily newspaper and eat my breakfast. At around 7:40 am I look at my ‘to-do list that I prepare the night before and finalise my tasks for the day. At 8:30 am I dress up and leave home to reach the office.
2. when do you do it?
Most days except Friday, I follow a certain routine.
3.what your favourite part of the day is and explain what you would like to change about this routine?
My favourite part of the day is in the morning. For me, early morning is the most important and pleasant part as I can enjoy it in complete peace and serenity. The tranquillity of the surroundings, soothing temperature, refreshing shower, and the promise of starting a great day make it worth enjoying. It is said that the morning shows the day and I totally agree with this adage. If I can keep away my tensions and start the morning the way I expect it to be, the whole day becomes fruitful and enjoyable. On top of that, I can recall several occasions in the early morning when I had been able to solve many complex problems. For instance, on one occasion I tried to solve an algorithm for a couple of days but the solution popped up in my mind one morning when I was having my tea. This is probably because I am a regular early riser and my mind remains spanking new at that time. I would like to say that early rising is also advantageous for our physical and mental health. I can make important decisions mostly in the morning as I can think logically at a quiet time. I guess this tells pretty much everything I like about this part of the day.
Part 3
1. What is the attitude towards arriving late in your country?
I hope that the truth is not as ugly as it seems to me but a majority of Bangladeshi people tend to take punctuality for granted. Whether it’s about going to work, study or formal and casual meetings, many people assume that some minutes or even hours late should be forgivable, of course with sound reasons.
2. When is it very important to be on time?
I personally think that punctuality is necessary in most cases and even of great importance when it comes to formal meetings, work or study schedules because our being late may waste other people’s time, cause certain disturbance and show our lack of seriousness.
3. How can people make sure that they are never late?/Can you suggest some ways to make sure you are not late for anything?
