Part 2
Describe an organisation or company near where you
live that employs a lot of people.
You should say:
1. What type of Organisation a school is?
A school is a learning institute that gives people a sense of direction. the school serves as a motivating force for sustained action to achieve individual and goals.
2. What type of industry is a school?
The Educational Services is settled of an Industry, that provides instruction and training on a wide variety of subjects. These institutions, including schools, colleges, universities and training centres, are either privately or publicly owned.
3. what the work involves
and explain why you think they are or are not a good
employer.
Dedication towards work and the business matters most for an employer. He must espouse values such as hard work perseverance, and how these values will reflect not only to an individual's success but to the success of the enterprise as well. This in turn should be emanated by your employees. Many employees don't know what's expected of them at work. One of the primary reasons employees don't perform well is that they aren't aware of the work standards they should maintain. Managers don't help them set goals and thus there is no motivation to achieve them.
Part 3
1. Which kinds of jobs have the highest salaries in your country? Why?
Traditionally, it’s been jobs or careers in areas like banking, accounting, legal and specializations in medicine.
But it’s been changing quite a bit in recent years – there are more and more young entrepreneurs who are starting their own enterprises and if they have a good product or idea and it becomes popular and the business is a success then they generally earn much more than the examples I mentioned before.
It’s always been the case that a good remuneration package was offered for those positions which required a high level of responsibility and/or a long time in training and extensive knowledge or expertise.
I think it was like a reward for all the effort and years of studying and training involved.
2. Are there any jobs that you think should have higher salaries?
Really, I don’t think you can just say that a particular job deserves to have a high salary. It’s more based on supply and demand. You don’t necessarily have to be a doctor or lawyer to earn a good salary.
If you have skills and experience in your field and there are not a lot of other people who have the same then your value is much greater than if you can only offer the same skills and experience as everyone else in your professional field.
And sometimes when there’s a shortage of a particular skill set or type of worker, they can receive higher salaries than normal, but it may not be a permanent situation – it may only last for some years until the skill shortage passes.
What usually happens is that when young people realize, for example, that lawyers are earning a lot because there aren’t enough lawyers to meet the current demand, you’ll see an increase in students enrolling in law school to take advantage of this.
The problem is when there are so many young law graduates that law firms no longer have to offer high salaries because young lawyers are just happy to get a job – so it’s a kind of constant balancing act.
3. Are all jobs of equal importance?
4. What is the most common way to get a job these days?
5. Is money always the most important thing when choosing a job?
6. Why do some people become workaholics?
